Foundations Speech & Language Services treats a wide range of speech and language goals, including articulation and phonology, developmental language, fluency, voice, and executive functioning.
The process for an initial intake assessment at Foundations Speech & Language Services involves an in-person assessment of speech and language skills at our Royal Oak office or in the comfort of your home. Based on the results of the intake assessment, a personalized therapy plan outlining goals will be written by one of our SLPs, to be carried out by one of our SLPs and/or one of our SLPAs. Our SLPAs are closely supervised by an SLP from our team as they target the goals outlined in the therapy plan.
The frequency of therapy sessions at Foundations Speech & Language Services will depend on the individual's specific needs and therapy plan goals. Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled once or twice a week.
SLPAs are Speech-Language Pathology Assistants with training and experience that allow them to facilitate the learning and growth outlined in the therapy plan for their clients. They communicate regularly with the SLP overseeing their client, and have meetings once a month to go over clients' progress in order to update mastered goals and receive feedback on teaching instructions. They are also taught how to implement any changes required to suit the learning styles of their varying clients and their needs.
We love connecting with current and potential new clients, and answering any and all of your questions.
